Connecting Through Naturism
The world can feel so vast, that exploring the whole thing would be a complete impossibility. Well that may be true, but we sure do think that exploring as much as possible in your lifetime will give you more rewards than anything else.
We have learned is that naturism brings people together in the most unexpected ways. It is absolutely thrilling to meet new people, from new and different cultures across the world, who share this beautiful way of life. There is an unreal, instant connection that I would compare to meeting someone of your childhood religion or someone who maybe happens to have the same favorite band as you and went to your high school but that you somehow never met. It is as though there is instantly so much to talk about and so much to share…
Naturists, like us, typically seek out more unique experiences, vacations and ways to spend their leisure time… Don’t even get me started on what we looked for when purchasing a new home… How do you tell your realtor that when you say “I want a private backyard” you mean “100% private so we can be naked as much as we like”. No,,, those couple of trees or that see-through fence is just not going to cut it. So, we love to exchange stories. And giggle at how sometimes people just don’t get it. It can feel a little bit like being in an awesome secret club…but, then you realize if something is this incredible and empowering why would we want to keep it secret? We love to suggest our favorite locations and tell the story of our experiences there. Word of mouth brings on a whole new meaning.
We have both had experiences of meeting new people and within a short amount of time feeling surprisingly connected to them (like old friends who just met), because of how much we share in common and how we see the world in a similar way. It’s easy to be very open and honest,,, because, what is the point of hiding things when you’re literally in a state of not hiding anything…? Naturism just strips away all the pretenses of society and lets you be just you! We think “just you” is perfect…
We absolutely love getting travel recommendations,,, learning about new and awesome places feels like opening a birthday present. We also love sharing about our favorite travel experiences and locations. It feels like giving the naturist community a gift that only can be given from somebody who is like minded who has already had that experience and loved it…
Perspective is everything… Strip down, be free, gain confidence, embrace your beautiful uniqueness. I’m not just saying this, I truly believe it. After my separation and subsequent divorce I was left with more questions than answers. Who am I? How did I get to this particular place in life? This isn’t where I saw myself being…? Will I ever find true happiness? Will I be OK being alone if I don’t? To be fair I will never be alone because I have two amazingly wonderful boys to share life with, but whether I would ever find a compatible life partner was completely up in the air and seemed more unlikely than likely. Thankfully, I didn’t forget to stay true to myself and never settle. Slowly over time I answered these important questions and so many more, but it was definitely a journey and not always an easy one. So, if there is anyway that my experiences can help somebody else going through what I went through then by all means I am willing and happy to share…
My advice… Find a travel partner,,, it could be a girl friend, a guy friend or someone you’re in a relationship with. It could be your kid or kids, a parent or your best friend and partner in crime… The world is big but doesn’t have to be scary. Start off traveling within your state and then just keep expanding. Collect stamps in your passport, snapshots and memories in your heart… When I go places my favorite souvenir is to find a few special rocks, shells or sometimes when I’m really lucky pieces of Seaglass… One time on the beach in Oregon I actually found a perfect Arrowhead which will always be one of my favorite souvenirs of all time! The world is an incredible place, go exploring, have new experiences …and just maybe find yourself along the way… Find you’re confidence, find your freedom!
